Closing Time

“Closing time, you don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay…..here.”

When I worked at Starbucks, I would often sing/speak these lyrics to customers at the end of the night. This song is so special to Andréa and I because of the memories it holds. Yet this week we started to feel the song in a different light. As we near closer to reaching our timeline goals of heading to Quito, Ecuador in Jan. 2021, we must begin the process of leaving responsibilities we have held here. Andréa last week resigned from her role on the Anaheim NMI (Missions council), where she has volunteered for 6 years. Likewise, I held my final meeting with Anaheim NYI, a youth organization I have had the honor of volunteering with for almost 5 years. As we knew these responsibilities could not follow us, there were some tears and reflection on our time of service in these ministries. Please continue to pray for us as we make these final preparations in our missions assignment. And we ask the Lord’s favor upon you all as well!

“The Lord bless you and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you

and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you
   and give you peace.”
